Performance Highlights:

PartyLine- (Retard Disco) Fronted by Allison Wolfe, one of the founding members of the Riot Grrrl movement and front women for the legendary punk band Bratmobile. PartyLine once again blends punk rock with politics and feminism and still keep a beat that you can dance to. “With girlish yelps and post-feminist schoolyard choruses on their debut EP, Girls With G Glasses PartyLine fits beautifully into second wave of Riot Grrrl bands like Sleater-Kinney and Le Tigre.”- Spin.com http://www.partylinedc.com

Origami- (Shock Records) recently relocated to the United States; Origami is an all girl band from Melbourne, Australia that produces warm, almost fragile songs backed with rhythmic-groove orientated tracks that will make you want to shake your booty. Origami has toured the U.S and Australia with bands such as the Breeders and Sleater Kinney. In August Origami will be opening for Le Tigre on
their national tour. www.origamitheband.com

Sarah Dougher- Portland, OR- based singer/songwriter. As one of the founders of the Ladyfest movement, Sarah Dougher has played in groups like the Lookers, The Crabs and Cadallaca, which also features Sleater-Kinney's Corin Tucker. In addition she holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature teaches Greek and Roman Literature and writes for the Willamette Week, San Francisco Bay Guardian and other publications. Dougher also wrote Sent Out On The Tracks They Built: Sinophobia in Olympia, 1886, a book on racism and railroad building in Olympia, WA, with artist Nikki McClure. Her personal and political solo debut album, Day One, was released in 1999 on K Records; Walls Ablaze, her second album and The Bluff, her third we’re released on the now debunked Mr. Lady Records. She has toured all over the U.S., Europe, and Japan. She is currently working on self-releasing her forth solo album titled Harper Arrow. www.sarahdougher.com

Pin Downs- Formally a local band that rocked the Denver scene in the late 90’s and early 00’s, the Pin Downs broke up in broke up in 2002 when guitarist Ginger Richards moved to Washington D.C. Inspired by the sprit of Ladyfest, the Pin Downs have decided to do a reunion show. “The girls slam together a tough sound. Four-part harmonies blend with call-and-response power chords, and each musician takes a turn singing lead. Zesty, hacked off or both, the songs run the topical gamut from bad eyewear ("Tinted Glasses") to the joys of traffic violations ("Red Light Go") to rousing crowd-pleasers ("Bikini Tops," "Fuck Off)” - John La Briola, Westword August 19, 1999

Bonfire Madigan-Bonfire Madigan is an avant-pop, chamber-rock experiment. Madigan Shive plays cello and sings alongside a violin player and drums. Madigan ignites the Bonfire with a shebeen of soul-art-string-sounds. Since her performing songwriting first appeared with Seattle's first generation Riot Grrrl band, the seminal acoustic duo, Tattle Tale, to her Mad art, advocacy and activism of today – Madigan doesn't play for safety. As the first B.Mad live album declares -- she Plays for Change. It may take some folks awhile to catch up with this. But they're the ones who said Bob couldn't sing, Monk couldn't play and Patti wasn't rock and roll. Madigan is a new-music composer pulling from all that inspires her to create something often called ineffable. She repaints the sonic landscape with visceral interpretations of love, life, loss and liberation. Madigan is one of the globalization generations most potent cultural figures. SF Chronicle says "... Shive certainly sets the underground ablaze." http://www.bonfiremadigan.com

Thea Hillman- San Francisco Poetry Slam Champion, Hillman’s work has appeared in the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Berkeley Review of Fiction, On Our Backs, and Cometbus, among others. She has written two books “Depending on the Light” (Manic D Press) and “For Lack of a Better Word” (Suspect Thoughts Press). http://www.theahillman.com

Andrea Gibson- Captain of the Denver Slam Team and the kind of poet that brings goose bumps to the skin and tears to the eyes, while inspiring her audience with the passion that it takes to make the world a better place.

Tricrotic with Nomy Lamm- Nomy Lamm has been a leading voice in feminist and queer movements over the past decade. Lamm has been recognized in MS. Magazine as one of “Fifty Faces of Feminism,” and published in “Listen Up: Voices from the next feminist generation” by Seal Press. Her groundbreaking essay “It’s a Big Fat Revolution,” is used in Women’s Studies textbooks and curriculums at numerous colleges and universities throughout the US. Lamm will be speaking and performing with her band, Tricrotic. http://www.nomylamm.com
